Time and holidays 2

Forget that i accidentally pressed send for that one

Well i forgot to take trash out tday which is annoying.

I know this isn't a place to spill my ideas or feelings out on to the
web. But when you're stuck at a laundry ppace trying to wash clothes
and do nothing this is all that is left.

It has been exactly 2 weeks since the last train trip and i'm sort of
dissapointed at the fact that I haven't travlled again since then.

I was more hoping that there would be more people that would want to
travel with me around Japan. But majority of those that live in house
50 seem to be busy with their own plans with others or are stripped
down on cash or on the other side really studious. It seems that it is
only me that doesn't have that many friends or so.........

Well no more pouting i say, i'm going to travel to Nagashima Land
tomorow, problem is i've been hoping that A friends that I know of
would at least be nice enough to reply if he is still up for othe
travelling plans so that I can plan my othe trips before school starts
again. Oh well

I'll see him at 4 pm later gain so I hope I can get an answer than I
can properly plan the remaining trips.

18 kippu is a reasonable deal. I might end up just going around on
Trains for the sake of just trying to save money. I don't really have
much money left for explurgant spending so it seems on the main land
it's probably better to just Sit down plan a day trip and head from
Kyoto to other areas. No point in staying at area, when it's too
expensive or so.

It's been wierd but i'm slowly starting to appreciate trains. I'm not
in love with em or going maniac about them but just the fact that
travelling over land instead of speedly rushing through the sky feels
so different.

I'll see what happens but day trips are much more enjoyable and
further more. I'll try and see where one train can actually get me to
and spend only a night. I've used too much on my Okinawa spree so I
gotta hold back. Kyoto is nice. But temples and shrines all over.....
I'm not trying to be over exageratting here but once you've been to
one, the others seem quite spectularly similar. Travel. Hmmmm use
Kyoto as a base and move on seems to make more sense. I'll probably
need to find s'more friends. I feel like very lonely. My trip from
kyushu to okinawa gave me a lot to think. But still i feel abit lonely.

Got home nice and fine at 16:57. Walked home from Waratenjin-mae. Said hello to my Neighbors, Jack n Chris n Fabien on the way back.. rested and let my bags open. Had some Coffee and Sandwiches, and paid an alarmingly cheap electricity bill since I've been gone for 1 whole month. lol anyhow good to be home. resting and relaxing a bit. unloading photos and realizing how Cold Kyoto still is...

sorry about the scattered posting. All originally on Facebook
Is up and on the train to kyoto- left bakurocho in tokyo at exactly 5:19 now on to oofuna next update on transfer interval, if possible with picture, just arrived at shinagawa. See if you can find me. ^_^

Follow my Journey on this blog and on Facebook

Pictures on Facebook or per request.
Arrived at Oofuna. On time. Waitig for Toukaido Line. Sun is coming up while I'm waiting for the train. Uploaded a picture of the Oofuna station sign. Will take picture of my breakfast and the station. Onwards to Numazu. Update at Nuzamu.

Jusr got an update late by 3 minutes and a smaller train might not get a seat. Must need place for bag. Ride to Numazu is a long one.
Wanted a better breakfast than just a bread. So decided to come off at Atami for the 8:05 to Shizuoka. Waiting for departure. Pictures of the bento will come later when i actually eat it and take pictures with my camera instead.

Fix that i bought the boxes at Atami and ate them at Mishima. Gosh the food really helps my energy.
Arrived at Mishima at 8:19, had breakfast while warching 3 trains to kansai go. Took the 9am from Mishima to Okitsu for a continous train to Hamamatsu. Intending on sleeping on this one since I didn't geta seat on the last train. Should arrive at Hamamatsu at 11:33. Got stamps at Mishima and Okitsu. Now 10:07 just left Okitsu
Taking the 11:17 from Kakegawa to Toyobashi. Geyting closer to home. If I get home Early I might just drop my bag at a Locker and travel from Kyoto for half a day. As said earlier took the 10:05 from Okitsu arrived at 11:08 one hour ride slept for awhile travelling on normal trains ain't that bad just in the morning rush is bad on toukaido onwards to Toyobashi
Time is 11:42 just arrived at Hamamatsu bigger station than others. Won't be able to take pictures on both iphone and camera and time for stamp at Toyobashi is limited. So I'm going to just move on to camera and update facebook on the trains. Now waiting for the train to leave from Hamamatsu. 11:46 departure 3 mins lat...e. Something you won't see possible back home. They're apologizing over the overhead speakers. Taking a quicker train once I reach Toyobashi
People watching on trains is very fun. Guys talking and peeping around at Gals. People with strange sleeping habits. School boys discussing new phones. People bringing suitcases travelling. Salary men jusr reading their Newspapers. Housewives travelling between stations. Grannies enjoying a small nap on the train. Oh a...nd since the train is late by a few minutes will come home even later now. So a rapid train from Toyobashi is important or just a normal one. Either way I wanna skip the rush hour at Kyoto.
Read an update. By JR. Seems that during holidays the schedule is pushed back by 2-3 mins. I'm supposed to get to Nagoya by 13:13 cool so the rapids are pushed back as well. Banzai JR West they have Special Rapid Trains !! I probably can get back earlier after all horray!

Never mind my mistake. JR Middle or Chubu also run Special Rapids. Levels of JR trains. Most Basic Slowest: Futsuu (Normal all stops). Kaisoku-Rapid Trains (bit faster with lesser stops). Shin Kaisoku-Special Rapid Trains (fast with limited stations to major transfer stations). All trains after this requires additional charges. Kyuukou-Express (As... See more name suggests gets you pretty fast to only Major Stations). Note in JR East, Tokyo's district of train management don't run many rapids or even Specials

Shin-tokkyuu-Limited Express ( only to Large Stations ) gets you to your place fast. Shinkansen ( No English equivalent. Japan's famouse fast train ) only major cities with stations. In Shinkansen terms there is another realm of speed and versions that I don't have time and money to see lol.

So in easy terms. JR west is easier to travel with cheaper and quick options. The weather is turning cloudy abit here in Nagoya just arrived. Not nice I liked the sunny day and nice train ride.
Got on 7th train of the day. A special rapid to Ogaki. Finally can save some time need find another rapid at Ogaki to Kyoto. Passing Maibara it seems still gettin used to JR lines. The time table didn't say about the Special Rapid Trains. I guess they are special. Time is 12:33 onwards towards home.

On the Bus Home...

It's not really raining. finished my train journey with no trouble. It
has been really good journey. Got to Kyoto station on a Futsuu train
at 16:06 exactly. Took some pictures of the train that brought me back
home. The rain is really breaking down slowly it's a nice soft rain.
Hope i don't get stuck in a full bus. But oh well. It's the way home.
Got bit more to walk. Here comes the bus. It's bit chilly since it's
raining. Update again later. Body is really tired bag feels like a
ton. It's amazing how tired I feel when all I did was ride trains. Now
riding the 50 back to Waraten jin mae

On the 9th Train

As i thought the rain started. Albeit it's drizzling but it isn't
actually pansies all the way home. The mood is low but i can make it
home the trip has been amazing!

9th Train

Finally got on my 9th train of the day. Took pictures of the train and
took a short break at Maibara to look for the Stamp onwards to Kyoto
now. Missed a special rapid before this train on purpose. Wanted a
relaxed ride and yeah the train is clearly empty because it is a
local. A picture of the last car i intend to ride today shows it's
empty. Really tired. By the time I get to my house it will probably be
exactly 13 hours since i left the hostel in the morning. Just stopped
at Hikone since it is a normal train took the last car on the train
( end bit ). Might want to check which bus gets me homr as quick as
possible really tired. But gotta keep up the vigilance for the ride.
Once i get to Kyoto gotta get the stamp. Won't take pictures of thr
station as most every would have seen other pictures from my other
albums. Took pictures of the platforms. This trip really takes alot
out of me need to work out. Winter really pushed over with the food
and the weather. It's spring so it's time for a new Beginning. Of my
self. It might rain so I wanna get back home quick. Onwards next stop
Kawase still a way to go till Kyoto on a normal train. Next update
later at Kyoto and after bus at home.

From Ogaki to Maibara. The 8th Train

Sitting on the train to Maibara. It's gonna take some time I hope i
get there on time for the rapid train. Without my iphone i'm out of
contact with internet for the bus guide. Lately my iphone has been
clonking out with a full bat on. I guess it isn't the best. Can't be
used straight on. Oh well. Wonder how long it will take to Maibara. I
do have to say JR and Japanese trains are superbly on time. The train
left at exactly the time it said it would leave. On my 8th train of
the day. Might take a break at Maibara and get the Station stamp then
ride a Kaisoku to Kyoto last spurt 8 transfers and 9 trains. In all
without a lunch break you can make it in 6 or 7 transfers on the
Toukaido line. With the 18 kippu it's really interesting. You can do
so much in a day. Adding talk it's now 14:43 on the way to Maibara
from Ogaki the trains are still on the Toukaido line but went through
mountains very quaint and little old looking stations. Just passed
Samegai or stopped there for a while suprising how many people
actually live at these small and village looking places. Can't imagine
the commute.

Ogaki station. iPhone died

Got to Ogaki station on time. Waiting for the train to Maibara. Time
now is 14:05. Having to use my iTouch instead to Log the trip. Looks
like a full train to Maibara further more a local train. Special
Rapids sure are nice. Iphone clonked out on me. Very worrying. Might
have to ditch the phone or repair it in Australia. Wanted log
information straight to facebook. Oh well. I'll log on notes. Won't be
straight on. Got a spare battery charging now. Finished this note on
14:08 boarded train. Will take a picture of it later on. This train is
pretty old. Figures since it is a normal local. Man ladies can push.

On the train to Toyobashi. Been seeing sakura trees blossoming here and there woot spring is really here. Will update this trip much more precisely on the blog since i just realized that facebook deletes old posts. Right now it's still thr easiest to update with. The trains or normal trains on the Toukaido lines are quite nice and quiet. After the morning rush around 9 am and in the middle of the line the traind become short 3 car trains from the looong 15 train I took from Tokyo. They're suprisingly spacious albeit not seats but bench chairs. But around the morning you can get a decent seat here and there most often. Just don't bother brining a suitcase. Best bet is a small backpack with a days worth of change. If planning on an over stay somewhere just sleep with the previous day's clothes i recommed. Just arrived at Toyodacho. Toyota city supposedly, won't stop for a look though, need to push through. According to the nice time table i bought at a book store at Odaiba Aqua cit
y book store. ( it was cheap 5 dollars for the entire country's JR lines and some private lines) Well according to it , if I follow it now and not stop i'll get home by 15:47 around 4 o'clock. With that sort of time I'll just pack it in and rest to beat the rush hour home. See you later gain. Just arrived at Tenryuugawa. Cool name for a station. Liste ing to music, nice view of Japan from the train, little towns of Japan all over and a working phone with signal sure is nice. Softbank signal is suprisingly good on JR areas except through tunnels. Did I mention the Sakuras ? Better go out for another day for Sakuras then.
It's been awhile since I've even bothered updating. But an update is as good as any other. Currently sitting more like standing on a normal train to kyoto on the Tokaidou line. Finished two trips after uni had finished in january end. Did 2 weeks in Okinawa. Then went on 10 days with parents from Osaka to Tokyo. Spent a day at Odaiba looking at Fuji TV and Tokyo Big Site. Not a big Fan of Tokyo but oh well. Woke up real early at 4:40 to get on an Early Train on Tokaidou. Finally got a chair to sit down on. Japan really has a large population. On my way to Numazu. The Sun is just coming out of the clouds. Really pretty. Update again later on since this is probably my only way to kill time while on a 10 hour train ride with at least 7 transfers. Laters
